How we count visits

We use Umami to know which articles get read. It records the page viewed, the site you came from, the browser, the operating system, the device type and the country. It uses no cookies, keeps no data that identifies you and does not follow you from site to site.

If your browser sends the “Do Not Track” signal or you use a blocker, nothing happens: the blog works the same.

We use no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, so there is no need to ask for your consent or show you a banner.

Your data

What personal data we hold

Account: if you create one, your email, your username and your hashed password. You can delete it whenever you want from My account; your comments remain as “Anonymous”.

Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email, only to send you new articles. You can unsubscribe whenever you want from the link in any of our emails, and we delete your address.

Comments: the name and the text you write, published after review. Replies from the fediverse arrive with your public Mastodon address.

Know, correct or delete

Under Colombia’s Law 1581 of 2012, you can access, update, correct and ask for the deletion of your personal data. Write to gx_alejandro@hotmail.com and we will reply.
