Hi! I'm Alejandro
I write about software development, open source and technology
I'm a Colombian software developer passionate about building things that matter.
This blog is my corner of the internet where I share what I learn. I believe teaching is the best way to learn and that quality technical content in Spanish deserves more space. If something I write helps you, it was worth it.
What I write about
I like to get straight to the point. Here you'll find practical guides, tutorials, and reflections based on real problems I've encountered.
Web & Mobile Development
I build applications with React, Next.js and React Native. I write about frontend architecture, performance, accessibility, and everything that makes an app feel great.
Open Source
I haven't made my first contribution to a large project yet, but it's something I have pending and want to start soon. In the meantime, sharing what I learn and keeping the code open is my way of contributing.
DevOps & Tools
CI/CD, Docker, automated deployments. I care as much about the code as about the path it travels to production.
Practical Tutorials
No theory without context. Every article comes with examples you can copy, test, and adapt to your own projects.
What I believe in
Free Software (FOSS). This is one of the pillars of this blog. I believe open source is not just a license: it's a philosophy of transparency, collaboration, and technological sovereignty. I'll write about free tools, alternatives to proprietary services, and how to migrate your stack to solutions that respect your freedom as a user and developer. If knowledge is power, open knowledge is distributed power.
Community over competition. The best part of this industry is the people who share without expecting anything in return. I try to be part of that.
Learn in public. Writing forces me to understand. Teaching forces me to go deeper. It's my virtuous cycle.
Simple and clear. Complexity is inevitable; confusion is optional. If I can't explain it clearly, I keep studying.
Iterate without fear. Everything you see here is a work in progress. I publish, get feedback, improve. Repeat.
This blog is open source
This blog is built entirely with free tools. All the code — both backend and frontend — is available on GitHub if you want to poke around, learn, or contribute:
If you find something to improve, a bug, or just want to see how it's built, PRs and issues are welcome.
